Lopi Skammdegi Sweater

A richly textured Icelandic yoke sweater inspired by the quiet atmosphere of short winter days and shifting light.

The Skammdegi sweater, designed by Védís Jónsdóttir, reflects the muted tones of winter landscapes, with its distinctive colourwork echoing withered grass, dark lakes, and dim skies. It is worked in Plötulopi by Lopi, an unspun yarn that creates a beautifully light yet insulating fabric with a soft, natural feel.

The body and sleeves are worked in the round from the lower edge to the underarms, then joined to work the yoke in the round.
