Each colour-way in the Eiszeit collection blends bold, lively shades with Opal’s trademark striping magic. Whether you’re drawn to mammoth-inspired greys, glacier blues, fiery prehistoric tones or bright berry shades, these yarns knit up into beautifully warm, chunky socks — the kind you reach for on frosty mornings and drafty evenings.

Made in Opal’s classic blend of 75% wool and 25% polyamide, this 8-ply (DK-weight) version gives you extra warmth, extra cushiness and extra comfort. Perfect for socks, slippers, chunky mitts and cosy winter accessories.

 

Yarn Composition: 75% Superwash Virgin Wool and 25% Polyamide

Length: 320m

Ball Weight: 150g

Yarn Weight: 8-Ply

Needle Size: 4.0 - 4.5mm

Tension: 30 stitches and 42 rows in stocking stitch to make a 10cm / 4 inch square

Washing: Machine wash up to 40˚C
